What is GEO?

GEO — Generative Engine Optimization — is about how likely your website is to be found, cited, and accurately described by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Claude. It’s related to traditional SEO (search engine optimization), but different: instead of ranking in a list of blue links, you’re trying to be the source an AI actually quotes or points to when someone asks it a question your site could answer.

Vedayati audits your site the way these AI systems actually encounter it — checking whether their crawlers are allowed in, whether your content is structured in a way that’s easy for them to parse and cite, and whether basic trust signals (who you are, when something was published, whether claims are backed by sources) are present.

Getting started

  1. Sign in at the login page — enter your email and we’ll send you a link, no password to create or remember.
  2. Choose whether you’re checking your own site (Owner/Operator) or auditing sites professionally (Practitioner) — this only changes how results are presented, not what’s checked.
  3. Add your site’s URL. A scan starts automatically and usually finishes within a minute or two.
  4. Once it’s done, your composite score and every individual check appear — click any check to see what it means and how to fix it.

The free plan covers up to 3 sites. Run another scan any time to see how changes you’ve made affected your score.

Reading your results

Your composite score (0-100) is a weighted average of four pillars — Machine Access (can AI crawlers reach your content at all), Structured Meaning (is your content labeled in a way machines can parse), Content Answerability (is it written in a way that’s easy to quote an answer from), and Authority & Evidence (basic trust signals). It’s a diagnostic summary of what we can check on your site, not a prediction of traffic or revenue.

Citation results — whether AI systems actually cite you when asked real questions — are reported separately under Search & AI Visibility, and are deliberately not folded into the composite score. They measure a different thing (what engines did on one day) than the score does (what’s true about your site), and averaging them together would produce a number that means neither.

Every single check is clickable. If you see a term you don’t recognize — “JSON-LD”, “llms.txt”, a specific bot name — click it. A window opens explaining what it means in plain language, why it matters, exactly how to fix it, and a link to a real, independent source if you want to go deeper. Nothing in this product should require you to already know SEO jargon.

Look for the “Biggest opportunity” callout near the top of your results — available on every plan, including free. It’s the single highest-impact fix available, ranked by how many points fixing it would actually add to your score, not just a flat checklist.

Plans and pricing

Free accounts see exactly what’s wrong, at no cost, for up to 3 sites. A 7-day free trial (no card required) unlocks citation testing — asking real AI engines your questions and recording who they cite — plus one competitor slot. Solo and Agency plans keep citation testing and add historical tracking with trend charts; Agency raises the competitor limit to 3. See current plans and pricing.

FAQ

Why did my score change between scans?
Either your site actually changed, or something we check (like whether a bot is blocked) changed. Every check shows the exact value we observed, so you can always see precisely what drove a score change — click into any check for the specifics.
Is scanning my site safe? Will it slow it down or affect my SEO?
A scan is a handful of ordinary page requests, identical in effect to a normal visitor loading your homepage a few times. It doesn’t change anything on your site and has no effect on your search rankings.
How often should I re-scan?
Any time you make a change you want to verify — a rescan takes about a minute and you can compare any two scans side by side to see exactly what moved. Scheduled automatic rescans aren’t available yet; for now rescanning is something you trigger when you want it.
What data do you store about my site?
The pages we fetch to run checks, and the results of those checks. We don’t require or use any login credentials to your site, and a scan can’t modify anything on it.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from the billing page’s “Manage billing” button. Canceling never deletes your scan history — it stays accessible if you resubscribe later.
